Ware Priory was founded in 1338, is one of Hertfordshire’s premier wedding, conferencing and banqueting venues, and is where the past and present unite. If you are looking for a venue steeped in atmosphere with period architecture dating back to medieval times or a modern and spacious venue with all the latest hi-tech facilities, then Ware Priory is the place for you. Set in seven acres of picturesque riverside gardens, it is the perfect place for a romantic wedding and an equally inspirational venue for a conference or meeting.
Ware Priory itself is a Grade I listed building which has a distinctive choice of individual character rooms named after significant people in the history of the building. Painstakingly restored in the mid-1990s, some of the original building materials including wattle and daub, stonework and Victorian murals have been uncovered and preserved as features of interest. Adjacent to Ware Priory is Fletcher’s Lea. Built in 2006, it offers a bright and contemporary atmosphere for any event or function. It hosts weddings, exhibitions, conferences, product launches and concerts, and can also be used as a 220-seater cinema.
