Set atop the Pendennis Headland and enjoying superb panoramic views out to sea, Pendennis Castle has witnessed 450 years of action-packed history. As the penultimate castle to surrender during the English Civil War, there are few places more rock-solid to start off married life. Today, the Lower Gun Room of the Castle Keep offers a timelessly romantic backdrop for a wedding ceremony or reception. Light reflects off the granite walls of the octagonal shaped room and laces the warm wooden ceiling to stunning effect, creating shadows and an intimate venue for any exclusive event.An elegant marquee can be sited in the castle grounds for larger events ranging from wedding receptions to parties or banquets. The grounds offer superb views out to sea and of the castle, which is floodlit at night.
