Description:
The picturesque riverside setting of Midsummer House by the River Cam is only matched by the superb Cuisine of double Michelin Star Chef Daniel Clifford. Recently recognized as the best outside London restaurant, Midsummer continues to push forward, going from strength to strength. Entertaining at Midsummer can be spread across two floors, which accommodate up to 64 diners. Our ground floor Dining Room holds up to 44, is to be found within the walls of the ‘Old House’ and partly inside the Conservatory. Every table overlooks Midsummer Common or the Chef’s Herb Garden, which surrounds the Conservatory and has tables suitable for aperitifs and post-prandial delights – weather permitting of course! On the first floor we find the Blue Room, our private dining room which seats between 8 and 20. Adjacent is the River Room lounge, and the outside Terrace, both of which are perched high above the Cam and provide a ideal backdrop to your dinner. The River Room is used all year round for enjoying Champagne through Cognac and coffee. Daniel devises tailored tasting menus for groups of any size, his creative cuisine is well suited to both this and more extended menus from small, explosive mouthfuls to larger, longer, more narrative affairs.
