Description Number Six Gresham Street is a stunning venue from small Christmas dinners and lunches in the heart of the City. Originally built in 1501 and home to the Worshipful Company of Wax Chandlers the venue has benefited from a fabulous makeover. The current hall is the sixth design on the same site and was substantially rebuilt in 1954 having lost previous versions to the Great Fire of London, the Blitz and Victorian town planners.

Inspired by the all time classic, Dr Zhivago, the HAC will be creating a stunning setting for your 2010 winter celebrations. Guests will pass through a flame-lit avenue of snowy trees and enter into the opulent red and black “Hunter’s Lodge” reception area. After enjoyed Russian style aperatifs the huge oak doors will slide back to reveal the “Ice Palace”. Here, beautiful white table centres, hundreds of candles, hanging snowflakes and spectacular lighting combine to create a shimmering, glittering, dream-like dining area. The Fine Art Society specialises in British art and design from the 17th to the 21st centuries and has traded since its foundation in 1876.
The New Bond Street gallery was totally refurbished in 2004-5 and there are 3 floors available for hire. The contemporary gallery on the lower ground floor shows the work of contemporary artists, whilst on the opulent ground floor, paintings and sculpture from 17th through to the 20th century are exhibited. The first floor is dedicated to prints and works on paper leading to an elegant viewing room.
