British Science Week: 9th – 18th March 2018 – The Science Museum

British Science Week is a ten day celebration of all things science, technology, engineering and maths.

To help celebrate Science Week, I am giving you some event planning, venue finding and food inspiration to help you incorporate science and technology into your next event.

The Science Museum

One of my favourite museum’s to visit in London is The Science Museum. I can spend hours wandering around the different galleries and every time I visit, I always seem to be intrigued in a new space or new exhibition. Whether you are a keen science “geek”, a history buff or just love the techy, interesting artefacts, it is definitely the museum that appeals to everyone.

In a prime location and easy to get to by tube or by taxi, The Science Museum is a museum by day, but by night offers a fantastic range of spaces for events. But….planning an event during the day, don’t be put off: the Museum could still accommodate but it is dependent on the enquiry.

Holding your event at The Science Museum allows your guests to fully immerse themselves in all things science. With so many galleries and different options, the hard part will be deciding which space to choose. Especially as the Museum has an interactive gallery. I doubt you will be able to prize your guests away from Wonderlab: The Statoil Gallery. There is opportunity to get truly hands-on in this gallery.

Or if you are looking for event spaces to really captivate your guests and provide a history lesson for them at the same time, there is Flight Gallery, Tomorrow’s World, Energy Hall, Exploring Space and Making the Modern World. Each one of these galleries are sure to be an exceptional talking point for your event and keep your guests chatting about them when they return to the office.

The Museum can accommodate guest numbers from an intimate dinner for 2 to a maximum of 750 standing and can hold a variety of events such as conferences in the IMAX theatre, receptions, dinners, award ceremonies, seminars and exhibitions. The possibilities are endless.
