Forget the elves, forget the snowflakes. You already know the drill: Christmas jumper parties and Secret Santa gift exchanges… boring! Here at Venue Reservations we’ve got it covered. Our alternative and vibrant Christmas themes this year will ensure your guests have a spectacular night to remember. The all-important office Christmas party is a great way to thank your employees for all their hard work over the year. You’re no doubt trying to make the whole team feel appreciated and have a bit of fun at the same time. My advice would be to put away the cringe worthy “Merry Christmas” banners and mini trees and try something a bit different.
Below are 4 amazing themes happening at some of our venues this Christmas:
Tower Bridge, Engine Rooms
The Yule and Log House at Tower Bridge Engine Rooms for example. Forest lairs are great for hiding, feasting and partying. This Christmas the Engine Rooms will have an alpine touch, with sunset tones, pine cone stacks and a multitude of forest bounty. When I hear the words “Yule log,” the first thing I think of is a rolled, filled sponge cake, frosted with chocolate buttercream to look like tree bark. Yummy! On the menu at the Engine Rooms we have traditional turkey with apricot and fireside chestnut stuffing, or why not go for the rump of lamb or sea bass and finish it off with a good old sticky toffee pudding? Great feasts, hot muddles and a whole lot of yuletide spirit awaits! The Engine rooms can accommodate 120 guests for a standing reception and 60 guests for a three course festive feast.
The Moonlight Noel in the Walkways at Tower Bridge, set 42 metres above the ground, will host glamorous dinners throughout December and are set to add sparkle to your night away. The golden glowing walkways will be full of sumptuous tables covered in midnight blues, sparkling silver chiavaris and glittering diamond table centres. Our December feasting menus will add to the overall sense of elegance and decadence. The walkways can host dinners for up to 120 guests and 250 guests for a drinks reception. We can promise spectacular views of London and glass floors that look down onto the River Thames. To tickle your taste buds we have mini pigs in blankets and lime and lemon-crusted Pollock served as festival bowl food with mulled pear and blackberry fool as an option for dessert. It’s time to get those champagne flutes chilled and find your sequinned dress or bow tie!
Frozen festive frolics are happening at Gibson Hall this year with our Snow and Ice theme. Iced chairs with white seat pads, silver and white Manzanita trees, white feathers, icicle droplets, tealights, hurricane vases with snow base LED candles, hanging icicles and snowy wreathes. Not forgetting the 14ft tall Christmas tree decorated with silver ornaments and fairy lights and snow based presents! Gibson Hall is an epic backdrop for your festive event and you will have exclusive use of the main hall, the garden room and the garden. Guests will be greeted by the aroma of winter Pimm’s on arrival, seated and served an award-winning menu before celebrating the festive season with the musical delights of our festive DJ. On the menu some options include breast of pheasant, traditional roasted Norfolk turkey or seared sea bass. For dessert why not try my favourite which is Lucy’s roasted apples or pear tart with almond brittle and light fruit dressing?
Madonna, Whitney Houston, Elvis Presley, Britney Spears or Prince? Who was your favourite pop icon? Why not celebrate Christmas with POP PARITES at The Mermaid in Blackfriars? It will be dressed with life size POP mannequins, Bocca couches, pop art wall images, rubber ducks, soup cans, inflatable lips and retro phones. Has this got you thinking yet? No? Why not add bright retro coloured linen to dress the tables with soup cans with cactus’s for centrepieces and then name each table after an icon? Relax and let our professional team handle everything from bespoke dinner menus to a music playlist with all your favourite POP anthems. Suspended above the dance floor is the mirrored disco ball, backed up by popcorn machines and a pop art photo booth which will certainly get the party started. The stunning river rooms offer panoramic views of London’s iconic skyline and can accommodate up to 500 guests for dinner and 700 guests for bowl food. Let us at Venue Reservations be the POP Party planning professionals!
