Fashionably late? Too busy in December? Why not move your staff Christmas celebration to January?
Year-on-year we stress about securing that all-important date in December for your Christmas staff party. It’s becoming clear that this year there is a high demand for January parties. Email enquiries are flooding in with subject lines like “beginning of the year staff party”, “January New Year party”, “beat the January blues ball” and more!
Many of us are too busy with work, family, Christmas shopping and over-indulging in a few Christmassy dinners throughout the festive month to find time for a party. This is one of the main reasons that many businesses are organising their Christmas celebrations in January; as it’s difficult to find a date that suits everyone. Another factor may be the pricing coming in way over the company’s estimated budget. We have a lot of competitive January rates that will certainly beat the holiday blues and you may even get more for your money than what you would have spent on your preferred December date.
Staff Christmas party venues in the capital
#1 The Bloomsbury Ballroom – art deco Christmas party in the West End
The Bloomsbury Ballroom is the perfect venue and location to carry on partying in early 2017. With its stunning Art Deco features, marble entrance halls and fantastic location between the West End and the city, it really does make a superb January Christmas banquet or New Year party venue – holding up to 880 Guests for a reception and 250 guests for a dinner.
#2 Wonderlab: The Statoil Gallery at the Science Museum
This is a new addition to London’s venue scene, and is still available for staff Christmas party bookings in January.
If your guests don’t all know each other really well, and are from all different teams or sections within the company for example, Wonderlab: The Statoil Gallery is the perfect space for interaction; with full use of fun exhibits like the ice machine, revolving dancefloor and even shoots that guests can slide down after a few drinks. This is definitely a Christmas staff party venue that will get your guests talking and break the ice. Why not have a New Year party for up to 500 work colleagues in January at one of London’s most iconic museums.
#3 Have you heard of a hidden gem called Trinity House?
This has been one of our most popular office Christmas party and dinner spaces this year, and looking into the New Year there are definitely some good rates for having that delayed three course festive feast! Trinity House is such a terrific location overlooking the Tower of London and the River Thames. The elegance of the building will have your guests talking, not only in January but throughout 2017 we’re sure! Why not start the New Year with a touch of class and book a dinner for up to 120 guests, or have a New Year Champagne celebration for up to 200 people.
Bonus pro tip: finding the right catering
So you’ve decided where to have a staff Christmas party… now what about the food?
We’ve heard that turkey dinners are so year 2000 and everyone is probably sick of the sight of Christmas pudding come January! Therefore we are here to help you find the best menu for your guests. Festive bowl food is proving extremely popular this year, not forgetting our winter cocktails. A key note to remember for anyone in charge of the most passionately discussed event of the year, is that this is the one event that will always remembered and spoken about for months to come – until they start planning the summer barbeque – and even then the Christmas party will probably still be spoken about, so make it one to remember!Back to news
