With an overdue change in the law that will allow gay and lesbian couples to make the same legal commitment to each other as heterosexual partners, the hospitality market have all been looking forward to welcoming a new and valuable wedding market.
Crown Venue Catering are very pleased to announce that their first Civil Partnership Ceremony and Reception is to take place at Ewell Court House on 22nd September 2006. Deborah and Sarah live locally, and have known the venue for many years, and are very happy to be able to celebrate with Crown Venue Catering.
Ideally situated alongside lovingly tended parklands and a large picturesque lake, Ewell Court House provides a perfect backdrop for Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions. Built in the 1800s as a farmhouse and later transformed into a splendid manor house, this venue still retains many of its original features, from the beautiful sweeping staircase to ornate plaster ceilings.
Ewell Court House have already held a baby-naming ceremony for a same-sex couple at Ewell Court House, so the team are very much looking forward to any new enquiries that the 5th December law change will bring. Stevenage gets accreditation
Crown Venue Catering at Stevenage Arts & Leisure centre received its Investors in People Award Accreditation this month.
Over the past six months Franco and his team have looked at all aspects of the business, introducing new ways of developing their employees to make the business a success. These have included NVQ’s for sales assistants to help develop their existing skills whilst gaining an accredited qualification.
Also Supervisors and Chefs have completed job placements in other venues to build on their commercial awareness, management and work skills. This proved so popular and successful that other employees will now be given the chance to work in other CVC venues. Gibson Hall and Tottenham Hotspur are undergoing their assessments next.
