Welcome Additions to the Team

Due to the ever increasing enquiries and expanding client base we have recruited two new team members to join our busy office. David Taylor and Georgina Perkins both bring with them great enthusiasm and dedication, qualities that our clients have come to expect of the Venue Reservations Team.

We are delighted to welcome David who joins us from the Gibson Hall Team, also based at 13 Bishopsgate. David has a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and prior to joining the Crown Group in March 2005 he worked for the Marriott Events Team at London Grosvenor Square and West India Quay gaining wide event knowledge. Having worked for Crown for over a year David comes from a very strong position as he has good working relations with the venues we work with and joint clients we hold.

Georgie is a new face who is just starting her career in events and was inspired to work in hospitality after being selected in her final year of University to join part of a fundraising team to raise money for a breast cancer charity. The event was a huge success so the University then offered her a position working full-time in their events team at the prestigious ‘Parkstead House’ in Roehampton.

For both David and Georgie we are very excited for them to join our team and we all wish them every success in their future roles. You can contact David or Georgie at the following addresses: david.taylor@venuereservations.co.uk or georgina.perkins@venuereservations.co.uk

Finally, a couple of Congratulations go out to Nicky Pratt for her promotion in the team to Senior Customer Executive, well deserved Nicky for all your hard work and commitment to the team. Secondly to Patrick on his new role as he moves to Crown Society Special Event Caterers as Business Development Manager, fortunately he is only downstairs so we can still call on him for tea-making duties!

This is another fantastic achievement for the Cambridge Team and well deserved. It is probably safe to claim that Midsummer is undoubtedly the best restaurant outside London!

Also announced earlier in January was the AA Award where Midsummer now proudly boasts 4 AA Stars and the retention of its 2 Michelin Stars- what a great start to the year for Daniel and his team.
